iO TWIN: Universal Twinning/Paralleling Kit

The iO TWIN is a universal Twinning/Paralleling Kit that is designed to allow a single thermostat to control multiple HVAC units. It represents a very affordable twinning solution that greatly reduces installation time for the contractor.

The iO TWIN  can be applied where multiple HVAC units are used to condition large spaces such as church sanctuaries, fellowship halls, recreation areas, warehouses and manufacturing facilities as well as other applications where large packaged RTUs cannot be applied due to roof pitch and load restrictions. The Twinning Kit can be applied to HVAC units sharing common or separate supply and return ducts.

The iO-TWIN was engineered to incorporate solid-state, diode relay logic with all components and wiring terminals mounted on a single, compact, printed circuit board. The PC board is mounted on a Snap Track base to facilitate ease of installation.

The Twinning Kit can be used with single stage (1 heat / 1 cool), multi-stage (2 heat / 2 cool) and heat pump (3 heat / 2 cool) equipment. Standard 18 gauge thermostat wire is required for the HVAC units and thermostat that can be located up to 300 feet from the panel. When used in a single panel array, the iO TWIN  can control two HVAC units. Two iO TWIN panels can be twinned together to control four units from a single thermostat.

Ease of Installation
The iO TWIN  saves hours of installation time by incorporating dedicated terminals for all system wiring. Only standard 18 gauge thermostat wire is required. The panel can be mounted in the most convenient location up to 300 feet from the HVAC units and controlling thermostat. LEDs provide visual confirmation of equipment mode of operation, fan, reversing valve (heat pump only) and staging status which simplifies servicing of the system. The panel does not require any system setup. A separate 24 volt, 40VA transformer provides power for the panel and controlling thermostat. When used with fossil fuel furnaces sharing a common supply duct, back draft dampers are required and the controlling thermostat must be equipment compatible.

Competitive Difference
The iO TWIN is compatible with both heat / cool and heat pump equipment with no special setup required. The iO TWIN can be expanded to control up to four HVAC units from a single thermostat. A separate 24 volt transformer provides power for the panel and thermostat which isolates the twinning kit from equipment transformers thus eliminating transformer phase problems. Status LEDs provide visual confirmation of system functions which simplifies service and diagnostics.

Installation & Service Benefits
The iO TWIN  has clearly labeled dedicated terminal blocks for HVAC equipment, thermostat and transformer wiring. Only standard 18 gauge thermostat wire is required. LED status indication simplifies test, check and startup as well as service diagnostics.

July and August Are the Most Popular Months for Break-Ins. Help Your Customers Protect Themselves with Nest.

Did you know that the risk of becoming victim of a break-in is greatest in the months of July and August, according to the FBI? Here’s why:

  • The most common ways burglars enter homes are through the front door, garage or first level windows; all of which tend to be left open most often in July and August due to the warm temperature.
  • More people choose these months to take vacations.
  • It’s hot. And, many people leave car windows down. Thieves can easily access garage door openers to easily enter the home. They’ll also steal things left in your automobile.
  • People are posting more about their away-from-home activities on social media. Don’t announce when you won’t be home!

People can still enjoy a summer vacation without worrying about their home’s security, especially with Nest!

Jackson Systems has the Nest products to keep homes, families, and valuables safe when your customers are away. Check out our indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi cameras, Nest Secure alarm system, Nest door and window sensors and other home automation products: https://jacksonsystems.com/category/nest-1.html

ZoneESP: The Comfort Solution You’ve Been Waiting For!

Open Concept First Floors. Second Story Bedrooms. Finished Basements. Wall to Wall Windows. Bonus Rooms Over the Garage. Grand Foyers with Staircases That Seem to Disappear into the Sky…

Houses that don’t have specially designed spaces like these — with the heating and cooling challenges that accompanying them — are almost non-existent anymore. However, they’re still being equipped with traditional HVAC equipment “thinking”:  one system; one thermostat…lots of ductwork. For homes built like this, traditional equipment alone is never going to provide the kind of comfort these homeowners will want. Homes designed like these must be “zoned!”

Zoning systems provide comfort and control of each unique area in the home. Zoning doesn’t rely on one thermostat to control the temperature of the entire home. Each zone has its own temperature control so that the amount of heating and cooling required to satisfy each area is what is supplied. Motorized dampers (one for each zone) and a central control panel installed at the inside unit are also parts used in a zoning system. Static pressure is constantly monitored by the probes included in out kits.

Jackson Systems offers the iO HVAC Systems product line of zoning to now mitigate comfort issues created by unique layout and home designs. Our zoning solutions provide easier installation and more control … 1: because our zoning systems do not require a bypass, and 2: because we have engineering resources to help with every step of the installation. It’s like we are “virtually” there with how-to videos and support via app for an immediate Facetime connection with an engineer at Jackson Systems. Speak face-to-face or show our engineer your wiring challenge via camera app.  Learn more about our Virtual Technician App here: https://blog.jacksonsystems.com/jackson-systems-is-revolutionizing-technical-support/

Zoning is the only way to create comfort and supply the proper amounts of conditioned air to various areas of the home, especially those with unique layouts. iO HVAC zoning systems are the best in the industry for these challenges and are supported by a 10 year warranty. For more information on 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-…up to 12 zone systems with ESP (to eliminate the install of bypass dampers), visit https://jacksonsystems.com/search?search=esp.
