As the chief blogging officer (not my official title), I sometimes get to take the liberty to express myself. My company, Jackson Systems, is very charitable. All year long, the company performs services in and for the local communities. It is this time of year I am reminded of how proud I am to be a part of this organization. As we approach our annual School #49 Christmas party, I am filled with pride to work for such an amazing company and family.
William Penn Elementary School #49 is the least privileged of all Indianapolis Public Schools. At School #49, every teacher and faculty member is personally invested in their students. Many of the schools’ children are homeless or in foster care. Each year, Jackson Systems provides the kids of School 49 with winter gloves, books, school supplies, fruit and other treats and the much coveted “snowball fight.” It is truly a moving experience to see these childrens’ faces light up when they see Santa and his reindeer. It is even more moving to know we as employees are lucky to be a part of making a difference in someone’s life. Even if just for a day. And getting the opportunity to say “thank you” to the gracious teachers and faculty who make a difference to these kids and their families everyday.
So, as the CBO, I want to thank the Jackson family and Jackson Systems for all they do for their employees and their community. I am very proud to be a part of this amazing team of people.
