Ron, Kurt and I just returned from another great Comfortech trade show and conference in St. Louis, MO. It truly is the best show for residential and light commercial contractors. It was an opportunity for HVAC contractors to learn from some of the best teachers in the industry, plus see the latest products and services from all the leading manufacturers. While the attendance grows every year, I am still amazed at the small percentage of contractors that actually attend and take advantage of this incredible resource.
Most of the equipment manufacturers had their new high efficiency equipment on display. I actually spent a little time in the American Standard booth seeing their new product line. I must say I was really impressed. I also reviewed new IAQ products from Honeywell, Aprilaire and General Aire. Honeywell has a new steam humidifier that contractors and homeowners are going to love, Aprilaire has updated their humidifier line and General Aire has a new hybrid UV light. As far as thermostats go, Honeywell has a new IAQ thermostat and White-Rodgers has thermostat with a wireless sensor. As we get more information on all these products we will be sure to pass it along to you.
This year at our booth we used our new display promoting our line of zone control products. It turned out great! We spent most of our time in the booth promoting our new Z-600 and Z-2000 zone control. Additionally the Warning Watchdog definitely got people’s attention. We met quite a few contractors and look forward to earning their business. We also had the opportunity to visit with several current customers and say “thank you” for their continued support.
We hope that all contractors will consider visiting us at the next Comfortech in Atlanta, GA. It will be September 10 – 13, 2008 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
Thanks for blogging with us, Tom
We are looking forward to Comfortech this week. We are told they are expecting record-breaking attendance.
We are also excited to show you a couple new products, the Z-600 and the Z-2000, and share our news about our new online ordering option. So stop by booth 1127 and we’ll give you the code to get 15% off your first online order.
See you at Comfortech!
How can you possibly be in the homeowner’s house every day, you ask? Well…. Imprint your thermostats! (A.K.A. Private Labeling) Having your logo and phone number on the thermostat(s) in the home will increase your chances of getting a phone call for repairs, maintenance or general questions. Why pass up on such an easy chance at business?
It is also said that the average homeowner moves every seven years. Guess what stays in that home for the next homeowner to see and use? The thermostat! Another chance for you to get a new customer.
We imprint thermostats for free through our private label program at Jackson Systems. We carry lots of thermostats and allow you to mix and match models. Contact us to get started today.
With the continuing rise in energy costs, many home owners are switching to dual fuel heating and air conditioning systems. Also referred to as “fossil fuel” or “hybrid systems”, dual fuel systems incorporate a heat pump and a gas or oil fired furnace. A heat pump is an extremely efficient source of heating when outdoor temperatures are typically above the freezing point. A heat pump also serves as the central air conditioning system during the cooling season. As outdoor temperatures drop below freezing, gas or oil furnaces become a more efficient source of heating. By combining the two systems together, homeowners are able to reduce their heating bills. Jackson Systems offers a complete line of forced air zone control systems that are compatible with dual fuel equipment. Combining the two not only provides energy savings but total home comfort. If you have a question about dual fuel zoning, post your comment to this blog and we’ll get right back with you.
This really great flyer for homeowners is a great promotional tool for helping you grow your business with zone control. You can view the entire flyer here and then drop us a line to customize one for yourself, email@example.com.
Many of our customer have used this flyer to help them grow their business with zone control. It is an easy to understand consumer piece that explains the features and benefits of adding zone control to your home.
We are excited to also announce we are working on a new video project that will give you an online option for promoting zone control in your business. Watch for this one within the next month.
This feels a little strange. I have never really “blogged” before and now Jackson Systems has its very own! We hope to use our blog to increase awareness and knowledge about HVAC controls.
One of things I enjoy most about the heating and air conditioning industry is attending trade shows and listening to what others have to say and the questions they have. I learn more in this informal setting than I ever would attending a 3-day training course. I hope our blog is similar – an informal way to communicate and share ideas.
I consider controls (and will group indoor air quality in this too) to be an area of creditable growth and opportunity for contractors. Not only do homeowners and building owners want better temperature control and air quality, they are willing to pay for it.
Through our blog we will share both sales, marketing and technical information about zoning and controls in general. I encourage you to participate, ask lots of questions and share your wisdom.
We truly appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you on the zone control blog.
Sincerely, Tom Jackson
P.S. If you are heading to St. Louis for the 2007 Comfortech show, please stop by and visit us, our booth number is 1127.
