Jackson Systems now has a wireless remote sensor to use with our T-32-P and T-21-P thermostat. The wireless remote sensor (part # T-WS) is made up of two parts, the battery powered temperature sensor transmitter and the 24V powered temperature receiver module. These matched pairs serve to communicate temperature information from the sensor to the receiver module via 915Mhz RF signal. The temperature data is then read by the thermostat.
The battery powered temperature sensor transmitter is powered by 2 AAA batteries and can be located up to 100’ away from the receiver module. This sensor can be used as an indoor remote sensor or as an outdoor sensor for dual fuel applications. Communication between the sensor and the receiver can be confirmed by simply pressing the button on the bottom of the sensor for 3 seconds. If the status LED on the sensor illuminates, the communication between the sensor and the receiver is confirmed.
The 24VAC powered receiver provides temperature data to the thermostat’s remote temperature sensor terminals, T & T. The receiver module is typically mounted next to the thermostat and can be powered from the R & C terminals of the thermostat.
LEDs on both the transmitter and receiver provide instant feedback confirming communication between the two modules.
